Bridal Story – Eva

blog

I want you to meet Eva. She started her skin journey well over a year before her wedding and it was a big priority in getting her ready for the big day. She has also started as our newest member of the Eko Team! <3

When we first started planning her dream skin plan, we discussed what she wanted and how we would get her there. We mapped out a plan and Eva began on a custom skin membership. We worked out all the treatments Eva would need to get her ready for her big day and added these into a membership so she knew exactly what to budget each week for her treatments as they come out as a direct debit!

I sat down with Eva to see what her experience was like in the lead up to her magical day.

Why did you start your skin care journey with us?

I started coming to Eko for eyebrow styling and that quickly developed into facials and skin therapy treatment. I had bad skin as a teenager so I have always been self conscious about it and it was super important to me to glow and feel fabulous on my wedding day. It was the best investment I’ve made, as it gave me confidence and I was so happy.

What was your favourite part about getting your skin ready for your wedding?

My favourite part of getting my skin ready was committing to the treatment and believing in the process. Plus this meant I got to have a facial every 4 weeks, which was so nice in the months leading up to the wedding at the height of all the stress and nerves!

How long before your wedding did you begin treatments and why?

I started all my wedding preparation about 12 months prior to the wedding, to ensure my skin was the best it could be for the big day. Committing to the treatment plan was really easy, especially when I started to notice the difference and was getting compliments on how great my skin looked. Getting into the routine of the treatments and using the amazing products 12 months prior to the wedding meant I had time to slowly get rid of any toxins and impurities in my skin, had no breakouts and minimal pigmentation in the few months leading up to the wedding (which was when all the celebrations began!)

How have you seen your skin change during the course of your treatments?

I noticed decrease of breakouts, minimal pigmentation or patchy colouring of my skin and a reduction in fine lines. As a teenager and having terrible breakouts constantly, I was always extremely embarrassed of my skin and would never leave the house without a full face of makeup. After my treatments, my skin was glowing and would feel completely comfortable without any makeup on or with only a light coat of CC cream or mineral power (and sun screen of course!)

What is your favourite treatment?

My favourite treatment was definitely the facials. It was so relaxing and I would go home feeling like a million dollars. My skin felt so hydrated and luscious every time I walked out of the treatment.

Why did you decide to do a membership?

The membership is one of my favourite things about Eko Medispa. 12 months prior to the wedding, Laani and I went through and decided on how many treatments I would need over the next 12 months, then divided it by 52 weeks, so the payment automatically came out of my account weekly (Or fortnightly, whichever suits you). This made it super easy and affordable and I didn’t worry about how much money I was spending at each consultation. This also meant I got a 10% discount on the products that I also needed to keep my skin glowing between consultations. I was also able to book all my appointments in advance so I didn’t have to stress about getting an appointment and was able to plan my life around the appointments.

Do you think skin care was an important area to budget into your wedding?

Skin care is a super important area to budget into the wedding. I wanted to feel amazing and confident on my wedding day, after feeling self conscious about my skin for most of my life.  After preparing for the wedding for over 12 months, I wanted to look back on the day and feel beautiful. Thanks to Laani and the girls are Eko Medispa, this is exactly what happened and I will forever be grateful for this.

What is your number 1 tip for other brides?

My number 1 tip would be to not sweat the small stuff. It’s so easy to get hung up on the details and be very upset and disappointed when small things don’t go to plan. Remember to take a step back and remind yourself what your wedding is really about – you marrying the love of your life!

Did we achieve the skin goals you set for your wedding?

Yes! I was so happy with my skin and felt amazing on my wedding day. I can’t stop looking at the photos from our special day and so thankful my dreams came true. I have since given facial vouchers to a few friends, leading up to their weddings, so they can feel amazing too!
